Sun? In the UK? You must be joking...

Just kidding
You know I could also not believe the sun even came out but we had awesome flying weather for a few days and now we back to the "normal" weather

Thumbs up Great Flying Weekend!

A Great flying weekend in Germany for sure and it allowed me to become more comfortable with my BLADE 450's! The Revolution Main Blades Really do Improve all aspects of flight IMO but so did the KBDD Tail Blades and the Aluminum AR Bracket on the 450 X...gotta get one for the 3D.

What advantages do the aluminum AR bracket give?

I noticed awhile back that when I would moved the swash plate or moved the blades for whatever reason, there would be a tiny bit of flex at the AR bracket; flying with the plastic one worked fine...or so I thought.

I then ordered the Aluminum AR bracket just to see if it'd make a difference and it truly did for me. One, no flex around the swash and two, cyclic response improved IMO. The 450 X seemed to 'hold' better in flight this weekend and the wobble I'd get on a downward pitch pump is now gone. It could just be me, but the Heli drifts a lot less now too.

Conejo, beware on the first flight with those carbon blades if there from Blade. I put them on mine and she wouldn't come off the ground. All it would do is tip to the right

Thank you, they are from Align (Trex 450 SEV2), I tested them today and the tail is more solid now, but anyway I will be careful. I had some carbon tail blades from Blade in my B400 and Thank God I was in hover when one blade was ejected right into the ground. It just broke.

Here are some shots of my 450x aerial rig:

I have the ImmersionRC 600mw 5.8ghz video transmitter (not installed yet) and the FatShark Dominator (w/5.8ghz module) goggles on the way for FPV flight. I can't wait!!

Here's mine, yesterday up in the Alps.

H3000 cyclic servos, HSG-5084MG tail servo, alu tail servo mounts, Revolution blades. Rest is stock (ESC at 6V).

Excellent Photo's and flying location!

Question: If you are using the stock ESC, what process did you follow to change to 6.0V? I would like to run a different tail servo because I want to switch to Spartan Quark Gyro.

Location was fantastic, once the cows stopped passing by!

ESC: just switched to a tail servo which can handle the 6V (stock one does not).
Stock cyclic servos can work at 6V so it's enough you move the little switch on the ESC (you can find pictures around here) after installing the new tail servo, then go through the full BeastX setup.

Wow, that's some wild stuff! I would probably puke trying to fly FPV.

Also check post #101 for details of where I "copied" the folding ideas...
