Normally I'd just comment on the OT portion of this "discussion" and point out that it's a thread for pictures, but I'm feeling a bit froggy this evening...

It doesn't matter how big the heli is - it can do significant damage to someone if it hits them. Don't believe me? Let me fly my mCPX into your face.

Quote:
He has done demo's of this heli and many other's so people understand that Blade helicopter's are awesome even when you get as good as him them are a great step into 3D FLIGHT
That's irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

Quote:
ALSO he always tells people never to try this at home and explains this is very dangerous.
But then flies with people too close (IMO) anyways?

Quote:
He is a respectable person and a well known pilot and has never put peoples life in danger. He is actually holding back in this parking lot he can actually fly much harder at the field.
Clearly you don't understand the definition of the word "never" and "holding back" or not is again, irrelevant.

Quote:
When you get as good and dont have any crashes and own bigger helis that you have built than and only than come talk to me.
So the size of the heli determines the pilot's skill? Sorry, but that's laughable. If that was the case, I'd be schooling anyone with a 90/700 sized heli with my 65" long, 813mm blade swinging, 18.5lb turbine ship and some of the scale guys would be even better.

"knowing how to bail" in the event of a mechanical? WTH does that mean? Is there some level of clairvoyance inherent in this particular guy (or you) that lets him (or you) know where the heli is going to go if something breaks? Do either of you possess super-human reflexes or are able to negate the forces of inertia and affect aerodynamics? Believing you'd be able to plant the heli in time to avoid hurting someone with people that close is naive to say the least.

Park the defensive attitude and take this discussion to another thread. As was stated before, this one is for pictures

I get what you're saying, but that kid is dangerous.

To say nothing about flying in such a dangerous and crowded area is a tacit agreement that that is a smart thing to do. It's not, and that kid was old enough to know that little children will be drawn to that heli like bees to honey. All the braggadocio about his flying skills aside, it's not a safe place to fly if you can't control the airspace.

That the police weren't called is only due to the fact that the people in that video didn't realize how dangerous he was to them. And that makes them even more dangerous to him.

This thread is a sticky of photos of the helicopter.

Please remain on topic.

That isn't asking much so simply comply.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

HOT. I never really thought about matching canopies before, but seeing yours makes me think, maybe I will try a couple and see.

Gorgeous. I love a matching fleet. I've got Fusuno canopies on order to have my 130X, 450X, 550E and 700E all match. I can't wait!

Hey Rod they are killer looking birds!

Did you go soley with a Life battery for your servos or a battery and BEC?

I've been agonising over what I do with my Gaui X5. It's got a decent built in BEC but I've bought a Western Robotics BEC but I'm still pondering using an external battery as well as the WR BEC if the weight isn't too bad. Last thing I want is a $300 repair bill if I have brown out.

How did the Synergy go as well?

Since you posted about it and I watched that vid, I'm thinking if I get a 700, it might just be an E6/7!

My 6S 450X with it's new canopy. The 1300mah 45C 6S brick battery fits fine

Funnily enough this was the canopy I thought wouldn't be the best but I really like it.

Fusano has been fantastic to deal with and very fast. Less than a week inc delivery to Melbourne!

Sweet! How much weight does the fibreglass canopy add?

I haven't weighed mine yet but they are very lightweight. They are much better quality than the stockers (which look terrible in comparison) but the weight isn't hugely more.

I'm just worried about crashing them now!

Thankfully, I do have four stockers left which I can use as my beater canopies.

Me too! I ordered the orange one in the middle and it took forever to get here so I bought the grey one off eBay. It got here before the orange one and I like it so much better.

Look out FTF...they're trying to steal your thunder. Fusuno canopies are definitely awesome. They've won my return business!

Very nice. I couldn't tell if the color fade from lighter to darker orange was just the lighting, or not. That looks cool.
