Of course it is! I want the name of that canopy! So I can order one! No worries, I'm far away enough, no risk of confusing our helis!

Tx! I was sure I had not seen it before, and it's even in the 450EX section!

Rebuild finished.

Good moment to put on the green "outfit" (as the wife of some forum inmate calls canopy and stuff) which was lying there since beginning of august waiting to be taken to the field...

Just back from flying four packs after almost three weeks no 450X: all good!

Only pity, the bloody paint on the skids comes off (they flex a lot on my hard landings) but I could finally find some dye in here in Italy (Dylon brand, some brit posted it works well or plastic) and will give it a go on a new set of skids and fins and tail blades... maybe tonight.

Wow, Rodney, very good eye. Audi Q5 TDI (2000 cc, gas is expensive down here).

Here is my 450x with Align 500 skids. You can see the extra stance provided over the stock skids. For noob's like me, the extra width and length of the skid is nice to have. Doesn't look bad either.

That's a great idea! I put T-rex 600 skids on my 6HV because I kept breaking the stock Compass skids. The T-rex skids are definitely tough!

Ronj, I might copy your idea as it is getting windier (Fall is coming) where I fly... I don't want to have a repeat of the last blade strike I had on landing and having had to spend all that time repairing/replacing servo gears, main gear, blades, etc.; not to mention redoing BeastX setups.

I really like the looks of the Fusuno canopies and am thinking of getting 1 (or 2) for my 450X. However, I notice the top opening is not as wide as the stock canopy. I wonder if this affects the cooling of the motor in any way. The reason I say this is because I notice that my motor temps are lower when the 450X is up in the air and then right after I land and the blades stops spinning the temps shoot up around 5 degrees (from about 46 to 51C). It appears that the wash from the blades have a cooling effect on the motor. I have telemetry installed (TM1000) on the 450X with the motor temp wire/sender slung at the base of the motor.

Awesome pic!

I just got a new car though it's a SUV and not quite as cool (though it has lots of nice toys and lots of room for my babies...and 2yo !).

Here is my latest pic.

Two 6S 450X's with 2221-2010 motors...madness! And now oh so pretty with the new canopies!

Default The woman in red...

I know I'm posting lot of pics here but... yes, sunday I crashed again, and since I had to wait for some funny parts... just finished rebuilding.

As usual, good moment to put on a new "outfit" (I bought three Fusunos and this one was never used before). With freshly dyed plastics.

Meet "the woman in red":

Light is not good enough anymore, the "UPS guy" came too late, so I'll "maiden" her tomorrow morning. Trying to make a good use of some leftover holidays since fall is approaching fast.

And saturday... heading to Alpine Heli Smackdown!!
