Question stronger landing gear

I recently bought a nano cpx and have been flying it regularly. I am somewhat disappointed with the durability of the landing gear. The biggest hassle is when it breaks off and leaves the mounting pin in the chassis.

I have been looking online and some people seem to say the mcpx or msrx landing gear fits our nano cpx's. If anyone could recommend an alternative set of landing gear that can hold up to more abuse it would be greatly appreciated. It can be cf, aluminum, or plastic; I dont really care what it's made from.

Any links would be amazing.

Thanks in advance - Matt

I use the airtime skids for the mcpx. My mcpx got ran over by a car and the skids were the only thing that survived so I threw them on the nano

I use airtime too on both my nano and mcpx.... Went through about 3 stock landing skids... I'm still on my first airtime set so far.

First mod on the nano was to fix fix the landing gear. They could've made it better

Guys that link is throwing up a security red flag on my iPhone. It says it could be a fishing link. A way for someone to get you personal info cause they are posing as a legitimate business. Is anyone else getting this I want those skids I just want to make sure it's safe.

I got a set of the airtime skids. I have had them about 2 weeks. I broke the pin the that goes into the frame today. Not sure if it is the way I was putting the battery in or what.

I want a set of these skids but can someone tell me if they are lighter/heavier and by how much.
I want every gram to count, and for this heli it counts.

I agree about the weight. I had the kbdd skids on but after putting the stockers back on I noticed a lil more pop. The kbdd skids are 1 or 2 grams heavier. We need light weight strong skids.

I'm now putting a bit of ca on the base of the pegs that go into the frame.

If you change out the ncpx servos to the mcpx servos you save .4 grams total for the three because they are lighter.

Just put airtime skids on my mcpx and love them. I'd definitely go that route for a nano as well

I put a thin wrap of electrical tape around the rails. Keeps them from overspreading. I also put some vaseline on the pins, so the gear pops out easily. If a leg breaks I have had some success with JBWeld with fiberglass strands applied.

I just got my Nano last week so I'm new to this. Is it the spreading of the skids that's causing the breakage? Another alternative would be thin gauge wire.

Probably depends on how you crash. This probably wouldnt help in a wall crash. I figure some reinforcement cant hurt. I tried other things, but tape seems to hold in place, and there is a little flex to it. Most of my breakages have been the attachment pin.
