Default First repair - [Video] What is this rattling sound?

This is my first time repairing my blade 450.

I replaced the main shaft and the main gear.

Spooling up with just the main shaft, main gear, main tail gear, and tail drive gear attached I hear a rattling sound. The motor spools up fine with nothing attached, so i've eliminated that possibility.

Any ideas? Is it the main tail gear or a bearing issue?

Thanks in advance

check the main gear for teeth that are worn/broken. wouldn't hurt to check all the gears.

Check that your owb is installed correctly. There is a shim.

I just crashed the other day & have the same sound. Its the main gear. Its hard to see it but if you turn the main gear you'll be able to feel it when it makes contact with gear on motor

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've replaced both the mail and tail gear, same issue.

I'm wondering if it is a bearing or I've heard of issues with the one way bearing hub not laying flat because the screws cause some imperfections in the plastic gear.

Thanks again
B

Well mine did the same but never did see a prob so i kept flying .Untill the 4 x 8 plywood crash happened.I did replace the bearing after 2 years and all the gears. These things are so whiny sounding anyway...as long as parts ar`nt being chewed...i don`t wory about it. but...make sure the motor is not set too close in on the main gear..that will cause a lot of binding and undue noise.

Packers/washers installed ? in correct order ?, Motor-gear mesh ?. what does it sound like under load ? (main blades on or retarding main shaft by hand).
