Default DS-16 external antenna?

Quick question. I've read descriptions that the antenna for the DS-16 is internal and this would be consistent with photos at Espritmodel.com. However, the photos at CircleCityHelis shows an external antenna coming out of the top of the display. Anyone know which one is correct? http://circlecityhelis.com/radio-gea...adio-pre-order

Also, are the radio systems already in stock stateside, just waiting for FCC approval, or will they begin to ship when approval is granted? Sort of related question since, if the former, a vendor could just take a look at what the DS-16 looks like in the box.

We are expecting the first production samples of the DS-16 towards the end of next week. We will all know what the final antenna design is then. These radios are also what will be used for FCC. DS-16's are expected to be available for sale in January. This is of course dependent on how the FCC process goes.

Is there any reason the DS-16 can't be shipped to European customers before it's FCC approved?

Production availability of the DS-16 and FCC approval are expected at the same time but yes, if the radio is available it could be shipped overseas.

Just out of curiosity, where is the transmitter produced? In the Czech Republic?
