Sorry, but if it doesn't have the AR7200BX anymore, then it really isn't a Blade 450X. It's a Blade "something else". The heart of the 450X is the AR7200BX FBL/RX unit.

Does this mean my TREX 700 is now a 450X because it has an AR7200BX?

I disagree, it's still a Blade 450X, just a B450X with a different gyro...

My 450X has an Align 3GX... B450X parts still fit though

My misses has used the 'I'll take pics of you flying if you buy me a new camera' trick many times. I never once fell for it. After seeing those I might have to cave in on this one

Walmart has all sorts of cheapo point-N-shoots. They take pretty decent pictures, too. Pick one up for $50 or so.

Shed laugh at me if I bought her something like that, she wants a DSLR. I've told her she can have 300 and I expect miracles with it :

Haha tell me about it. I just moved here a year and a half ago from Pittsburgh. I'm never leaving this place! I fly all year 'round!

You need decent zoom so a cheap Point and Shoot won't work.

These were taken with a Canon SX30IS. Latest version is the SX50IS, which is even better. They're not even the best possible shots that one can get with this camera though. Look at this one she got the same day of my 120! It was at a pretty good distance when she snapped this!

Miracles, you say? She can take a pic and flip it in photoshop. Instant inverted hover!

See my post above yours. I know she's not going to get top of the line for that money but she should be able to get something decent enough to do the job.

the SX50IS is about $400 here, which is definitately less than 300, so just go get that for her and tell her to be happy with it! hehe
