Default Broke my tx

So I just knocked my dx7 off the table and broke the throttle.. It shoved it in so I took it apart and it broke this plastic piece that's like a rod holdin it in place.

Can I get this fixed?

If not should I downgrade to a dx6i or be super broke and get a dx8? Right now my only heli is a nano cpx but I've been looking for a larger bird.

Send it back to HH. They'll most likely fix it without charging you.

Sorry to hear that. I did the exact same thing to my dx6 but fortunately I was able to pop it back out. It works but the throttle stick seems a bit wobbly now. Been using it for months as is but I get my bonus in two week and I will be going to a dx7. Look at it as an excuse to upgrade.

I would look into a 14SG. I have a DX7 now and they are just leaps and bounds better than the 7

Send it in... and get a DX8 in the meantime. Good excuse! Then use your DX7 for simming (or sell it)

I popped it back put and began to hover my nano and it pooped right back down in there so that's when i took it apart. There a plastic rod type thing in the side holding it in place and its split right in half :-/.

I have been wanting something better. The gimbals aren't smooth enough for my liking. It seems like if I pinch instead of thumb they are decent but if I thumb it there's a certain spot that sticks on the throttle. But doesn't matter right now since its broken haha.

Who's the maker of the 14sg? I looked at some jr models but they are costly and I really want to get a bigger heli...

Futaba makes the 14sg. $599.99

If you are looking at JR transmitters, you will not be disappointed. I love my X9303 and X9503.

If you want a nice X9503 used, you can usually find them for sale for about $295 in the forum. Pinion just sold one for $285.

Nope, you will have to change all receivers.

Why not get a dx7s? It's practically a dx8 just without a couple tiny features

Default Broke my tx

Just send it to HH, I did the same with a DX6i that I broke the throttle pot with, and with my DX8 with broken throttle hold switch.
Only costed me € 15 on the throttle hold thing and they replaced my pots too.
The way I see it, it is not worth the time or risk to try to fix it myself.
I'd rather send it in and wait a couple of weeks, I have a backup transmitter anyway.

The DX7S has only 1 idle up where the 8 has 2. Honestly I never use but one but its still neat to have two. You can actually have 4 flight modes with the DX7S by using program mixes on the DX7S its just not so cut and dry as having 2 already. Your idle up switch becomes like an on switch and the gyro switch toggles between 3 flight modes.

I think I'd just get a JR 9503 or 9303. I don't think the new JR's fly blade stuff anymore do they?

I wanted 2UI's and looked at the DX8 and x9503. I was going to pick up a new dx8 but held out for a few days and then found an awesome deal from Pinion for his x9503.

I have a DX7s, dropped it once and broke a switch off it, it's still fully functional and the switch that broke was a switch that I did not ever use. The broke switch played a part in wanting a new transmitter but I really wanted to get the 2 UI's, that was my motivating factor. Pinion dropped the price for me because the radio did not have the dsmx update, and I need dsmx. I already ordered the dsmx update from HH. I also ordered a set of stick ends and a cool stand, before I get the transmitter balancer I want to get the transmitter to see how off balance it is, because Pinion has a Pulse tx battery in it.

In total I got a very nice transmitter for about $325

The stand I ordered is HERE
The stick ends I ordered is HERE

For $5 the stick ends are great, I have them on my DX7s as well, the stand is a little pricey at $22 but I figured what the heck, the stand can move from transmitter to transmitter so I got it. The best part is I ordered it from a local shop and shipping will only take 1 day, as I was lazy ans did not want to drive the 25 miles to pick it up.

Nice stand, but Esprit Model has Secraft stuff cheaper. $2.00 cheaper on the stand, same price on stick ends.

I like the feel and balance better on the JR X9503 vs. the DX8, just my feel on things.

That makes a whole lot of sense.

Its a Futaba product.Im not sure how that suggestion has any bearing on the topic to begin with.
