Default CarbonCore H6 950 setup

Hi,

Finally ordered these:
CarbonCore H6 950
SunnySky X4112S motors (400kV)
15x5 CarbonFibre props
ArduCopter APM 2.5+

I'm still trying to find proper ESCs and power distribution board.
What do you think about the max amps that this setup will take and what should the ESCs amp rate be? I'm going to use some 6S batteries. Maybe 4-5Ah parallel batteries.
Can you recommend some power distribution boards for this setup?
For now I don't have any gimbal but in the future I'm going to get some for my Sony NEX-5r

Thanks.

For something this big and heavy you will probably be best to make a custom harness to handle the power.

ESC's I don't think will need to be over the top, a good quality ESC at maybe 30A should be fine, some like using the Atmega based that can be flashed with the SimonK firmware.

Some prop versus amps info here.

The Maytech are really good ones.

and as far as PWD goes, you could probably go with the one from RC-Drones. It's rated 60A and 72A burst, but I'm not sure if that's per connection or total. I'm pretty sure it's per connection as i'm running it on my H6 650mm with 6x Avroto on 4S with 30A ESCs and the PWD doesn't come anywhere close to warm.

It's 19.99$ also. fairly cheap, and fits perfectly in between the 2 middle plate frame of the H6.

I am using the Voltair Distribution board and love it. it was simple to solder to and lines up perfectly with the screw wholes on the bottom bracket. I used half posts (ordered spares) and it sits in the middle between the upper and lower shelves.

also I fed the cables from the bottom and soldered them on the top.

You could also try the hobbywing opto 40 they work really cool in my big quad. And i'm running 6s 3.7 mAH on it.
