Default Help! Heli Spooled up all by itself with TH on!!

I just rebuilt my TREX 450 (sev2) and on my third flight at the field today I landed, flipped on Throttle Hold, put the throttle in the lowest position in idle up (just to be safe), went to go disconnect the battery and then suddenly the heli spooled up all on its own! It immediately tipped over and stripped out the main gear so I was still able to disconnect it, but I have no idea what happened. I was nowhere near the radio and throttle hold was definitely on.

This is actually the second time this has happened. The first time I took the heli up (last fall), the same thing happened after a few successful flights. I thought the problem was the ESC so I replaced the ancient ALIGN one with a CC Phoenix ICE 50...but same problem again. I bought the Heli off of ebay and had to replace a lot of the mechanical parts. The electronics came with it. I am flying with a DX8 and the receiver is a Spektrum AR6200. The gyro is an Align GY401.

Any ideas of what could be causing this??? I am relatively new to the hobby and a little freaked out.

Did you configure your throttle endpoints to the tx?

Maybe?

- In Idle up throttle is at 0 when the stick is down.
- Throttle servo subtrim is 0 and "travel" is 100% for both upper and lower range.
- My TH is set to 29%. (If I set this to 0% and switch it on, the Tx buries the needle at -129%. This caused me ESC to do some funky things, which is why I set it to 29%.)

Is there something else I should be doing/not doing?

No that's not right

You have to set travel adjust to 50 for high and low stick. Go into the castle software and set it to helicopter and fixed end points.

Now set a linear throttle curve in the tx 0-25-50-75-100. And go to full stick (blades off), and power on the heli. Increase the high stick travel adjust until you hear the programming tones, then go two points more, lower stick and increase the travel until you hear the arming tones. Go two clicks more.

Set your throttle hold back to zero. If you intend on using auto bail out you need to check the box before doing the endpoint setup on the tx. There is another step you will have to do if you want auto bail out to work. But this will setup your endpoints. But you must do the fixed endpoint setup for your esc to work properly

Detailed instructions can be found here

I have a dx8 and mind works fine. I don't have to set mine like that.
