What gyro would you recommend for an older Raptor 90se with 4 blade head, will be using mccpm .

New to flying heli's
I'm setting up and older raptor 90 se with a 4 blade head, that will later be going in a fuse. because of the raptor machanix, Im going to have to use Mccpm setup. what gyro would you all recommend I will just be doing some normal flight , no stunt flying at all.

The old tried and true Futaba GY-401 with the S9253 servo.

Depends how stable you want it to be and what your budget is ?

Going nobar (ie. GY401 on the tail) is OK, but it will always be more of a handful to fly, especially in wind, even with 4 blades. Perhaps not the best option for a newbie.

If you can fit a FBL (I have no experience with MCCPM), then any reputable FBL will work. I like the SK720, and it has a self-levelling feature, which might be useful for a newbie.

I would recommend getting VERY comfortable with a heli as a pod & boom before fitting a scale fuselage. I crashed plenty when I was learning.

There are a number of proven FBL units that will work with an mCCPM control set-up, and make your overall control of the heli much easier.

So if you do want to add one of these to your R-90/4-blade head combo, then you will also find the tail gyro incorporated into the better FBL units, will also take care of your tail as well as or even better then the GY-401.

For example, the tail gyro system in the Futaba CGY-750 FBL system is much better then the GY-401, as it is more like the GY611.
