Question Tail setup? 105mm vbar Protek

Still trying to get this tail figured out
I'm close but still not quite there

I was at
65
65
65

45 collective per comp
10 cyclic

Was ok. but seems like i was still gettin a tail kick. got the precomp up over 50
And knew that was to much. So I took a step back listend to Mr Mel talk about how to setup a tail and he said raise the accelleration and lower the precomp...

I set my aux up to switch threw 3 settings
Now my numbers are

Number 1
75
75
75

15 collective
3 cyclic

Number 2
75
75
75

20 collective
3 cyclic

Number 3
70
75
75

20 collective
3 cyclic

The first one is working the best an
It's holding And it's CLOSE! But there has to be a way to get rid of the kick.

HELP!!!!

What are you using for a gov? This needs to be dialled in before you deal with the tail. It's a long shot but this might be causing the issue.

this i agree with. also no matter what FBL unit that is dialed in perfect, if you try hard enough you can get the tail to kick. that being said PERFECT i dont think can REALLY be achieved. perfect for YOU can be achieved, but then someone who flies different or harder can make it act up.
the very first this that needs to be tuned in the gov. or turn it off and fly curves till you get the tail figured out. second that needs to be tuned is the overall gain, then precomps, then I & P gains. Mr. Mel, knows his shit when it comes to vbar, but the precomp/accel adjustment is in general and may vary from model to model. you may have to raise both or lower both.
75,75,75, is a general area where most end up. i'm slightly lower, as i told you on the phone. it can be very frustrating to get it right. i got to the point when i almost took the vbar off and put the beastx back on. but i went out with a clear mind and a better understanding of how things work and got it . im going to send you a pm that was sent to me personally. actually its going too be 2 or 3 that was written by someone who i think is a vbar pro. with this info, i was able to understand things better and get it to where i want.

+2. 115's/116's on the tail. They will make a world of difference.

115's shine on this bird! For normal putting around 105s are fine, but when you start pushing it, blowouts can follow..

yesterday my 115's must of had a weight shift in them or something cause all of a sudden during the flight my canopy started shaking and it was getting drifting issues.
put it on the bench with mains off and spooled it up. you could hear a weird wine noise and feel the boom was not happy at all. took the tail blades off and 0 vibe. putting th radix 110's on till i get some replacements

Were they Edge premium or Edge SE's, Mike? Just wondering because at least one person I know of said the premiums were iffy.

I use the SE's, too. It's strange that the blades would go wonky on you. I'd definitely weigh the blades and check their CG's. If there's a problem with them, I'd call RH and let them know.

Tony is the one who noted the problem with the premiums. It may have been an isolated problem, but it's worth noting and taking the steps above for the SE's.

Only reason I didnt get 115s is cause Tony told about his problem with them an said to run 105s

I also have a friend here at my local field have the same problem

Tony's problem was with the Premium 115's, not the SE's--just to be clear.

I run 2150. Most people are running 2200 or 2250 on the Rush.

Yeah I was running 2000, but caved in and upped it to 2200 as recommended. I don't need the power but it sounds awesome!
