It's nice for a few things so far. NON to low windy days I can fly in IU1 and be smooth and longer battery life. Windy days can use IU2 for the higher head speed to cut the wind.

OR for tests as I did today with the vib issue in IU2. I was able to go back to IU1 and still have inverted pitch and keep flying.

Before I switched to the DX8 I hacked together an IU1/2 setup on the DX6i. It's not hard, you just have to give up normal mode. Since I never (ever) fly in normal mode it wasn't a big loss. However it does mean you have to be that much more cautious when you aren't flying since there's no other bearer between TH and full head speed. I ran that way for two months without issue. YMMV.

That was checked. several times. Nothing. I think the ESC or H450 is getting week. The H450 I bought used and it had over 100 flights on it.

In person it sounds like the H450 is missing on a pole at high/max speed.
Remove all blades for a bench vib test. Take your red lead off you motor. give it some throttle. That's what it sounds like in real life, but all my wires are tight.

But I think the main factor for having no tail strike is the very hard damping from Lynx.
I havent experienced tail problems yet.

This was just a test flight. I later did some really sick stuff to it and there were no problems..I am a little confused now..lol

The flight dynamics are great. got 13 min in low rpm and very stable flight. The blades are very good, incredible sound and good performance. Actually I only tested it because the strechting parts havent arrived yet.

If there are more questions I think I start a new thread..
I have questions about this! Please do start a thread! You mention "stretching parts". How exactly are you doing this? I suppose All you need is a longer boom and belt. Where do you get those? How long is the stretch?

(450X at end)
Tammy shut the camera down. Pissed she tried it on a tripod and was missing so much.
She missed a good 75% of my stunts/tricks.

If you seen my 700X sim dancing, I ran 90% that pattern, plus a few new move I have worked on with my 450X in real life. I don't even know if they have a name.

One pack...finally getting 3:30 minutes out of the packs and bringing them in at 3.89/cell. I bet I could get up to four, but might be pushing it. I might take the timer up in 10 second increments to see how close I can bring them down at around 3.77/cell. Or is that too low of a goal. Sorry for the shakiness.

Well played sir. I enjoyed that. It definitely has a deeper sound with the bigger blades.

IFirst two vids are this morning's flights (field across from the neighborhood, my go-to field) and the third is this evening's flight at a school my daughter had soccer practice at. I like this little place due to me piloting from atop an embankment, for some reason I like flying this way. Maybe because I can fly at eye level while maintaining some "uh-oh" room under the heli.
Another quick disclaimer: My Galaxy doesn't like recording in 720p HD, and as such, video 1 and 3 are only about a minute long. Video 3 was recorded in 420p only, but I get the full four minutes of flight that way. Bummer too, because in video three I was trying to do less "set-up" for the next maneuver, and more just "gettin' on it".I have got to get a better set up to take video.

Blade 450X (1 min 48 sec)

Blade 450X (4 min 5 sec)

Following your vids I have seen your skills change and get better. That's what I love about vids by everyone not just the hard core 3D guys.

I feel the same way when I fly in Green Bay. With the exeption of the goal posts there.

Flying from a wheelchair I need all the height I can get.

If you're taking videos by yourself you can't beat the old GoPro-on-a-hat setup. Mount it to the bill of a sacrificial ball cap using the tripod adapter. It allows you to follow the entire flight instead of having to worry about the heli going in and out of frame all the time. I'm not really chomping at the bit to share my learning process with the world, but I have been getting some pretty good video this way.
