More shots from August-Right after assembly-prior to first test flight:

Left front quarter-note the servo holes in the side frames did not have to be filed/opened up to accommodate the JR servos, as in the previous 6HV. Metal fittings for attaching servos provide a more positive installation than the previous sheet-metal screw directly into the CF frames:

Left side showing WR BEC installation/location (out where the air can flow over it):

Right side showing HobbyWing ESC installation (mounted on provided CF tray where air can flow over it):

Shot of Robird FBL unit installation:

There are some changes/improvements based on feedback from the test group,so these photographs will not exactly match the production model.

Metal yokes and delrin drive tubes from the older Compass heads have been replaced by arms, which are easier to service. The arms still flex and there are still (KBDD) dampers in the head-this head flaps!.

The frames are stiffer, as is the tail/tail boom assembly. 7HV tail assembly is extremely precise.

This is the most precise helicopter I have ever flown.

The standoff mounting trays on both sides is a awesome idea. Gives alot more room to mount vs the v1 and makes a great place to mount your esc and rx battery. I kinda like the caged in motor look too

kachur779,

Thank you, sir!

I was trying to get it clean like Skunkworx does, but fell short of the mark.

There was supposed to be a different canopy design, but the company that was supposed to manufacture them ended up not being able to produce them.

I don't know if the ones listed on the Prostar site are something new or not.
