Pics please! I'm running 3s right now and will most likely be bumping up to 6s because of acute upgraditis. I run the cable toward the back and out of the side hole in the frame which keeps things very tidy. I want to do the same with the 6s packs and these might be the ticket. the 1450 seems to only be longer not wider or taller so they may be an option as well.

I just bought 3, which put me over $100, so I got a 10% discount and free shipping.

Thanks for the tip Trexwilly!

Do they fit tight with a strap or you have to use a tape or something thin to hold the battery?

My pulse 1350mah is a tight fit and I'm using a tape to hold them inside the heli.

it's a tight fit but i'm still able to fit a thin strap (see the pic below) on the front part. Do you use the tape in the same way as the strap? wrap it around the lipo?

For 3s setups, the Pulse 2250mAh 3s 65C is a good fit. It is a tight fit however. You have to mount it so that the side of the battery is stuck to the battery tray.

I have a question for the people squeezing new big packs in , like the 1400s.

If the packs swell , even a little , will they still fit?

Hi,
I bought some SLS XTRON 1400 mAH 6s for my X3, because Turnigy Nanotech are still out of stock.

They are quite large (108 x 34 x 35 mm) and heavy, but they fit perfectly into the X3. But it is a very tight fit. You probably cant use velcro for mounting on the slider. I bought some sliders and used this tape from Hobbyking (I love it) for mounting the batteries to slider.

Still did not finish my building of X3, so cant say anything about performance of those SLS 1400 6s so far. Anyway, SLS have a good reputation here in Austria and Germany, and a very good price, so hopefully also my 6s will do well.

Found some more 6s Lipos that should fit:
How is the quality of Align Lipos?

There is not only the (already mentioned)
Align 6s 1250 mAh, but also those should fit:
Align 6S1P 22.2V 1450mAh 45C
105 x 34 x 28mm very small, very light, only 210 g (???), is this correct?
Align 6S1P 22.2V 1100mAh 40C 34 x 108 x 25.5 mm, so also very small and very light - 195 g.

MTTEC HPCELLS 1400mAh 22,2V 30C/60C - 106 x 34 x 34.5 mm, 249 g

Probably again best choice:
MyLipo 1500 mAh 6s 35/70c
33 x 34 x 105 mm, 250 g. Dont know so far, if MyLipo will have special batteries for the X3 soon.

The Align batteries have gotten better over the years but I know they aren't the greatest. And yeah they're kind of known to be really light and small.

Maybe, but you never know until you try it. Maybe they're just really well built

The guy that gave me a reply with pics thank you. Looks like the packs are in faceing up or down, that is where that swelling happens. So looks like the swelling wont be a problem if the packs
Are placed in facing down or up,

The sides are where you can see all 6 cells stacked.
