This won't be a popular choice in today's market (not HV, not BL), but I'm throwing it out there for you anyway. They are the best "big heli" buy for the money in my personal history (I ran 8717 for a while and IMO these are noticeably better - almost twice as strong).

http://www.mksservosusa.com/product....4&cat=4&page=1

At 6v they are 365 oz. in. and .149 sec. Sounds slow, but if you "twang" your tx stick they vibrate right along with it as well as any other servo I have seen. With big helis, I like strong better than fast. I'm aware that faster is better with FBL, but these run fantastically with VBar. I got them for 90 bucks at: www.troybuiltmodels.com/

FWIW...

Its a bit of an open question, there are prolly thousands of servo's that will work and you prolly wont notice the difference in flight between any of them.
So it comes down to budget and style.
Min specs you would want are something like 12kg torque and 0.10deg/sec.
Anything greater than that is better, but not needed.

All metal cases are better in crashes as are all metal gear trains, but you pay more for such features.

HV is the best way to go for simplicity and reliability - 2S lipo powering everything and you are good, no devices to fail, no need to worry about brown outs etc.

Another thing to look at is power consumption, some servo's are very hungry, others are very efficient.
Eg, Outrage torq = 1.5A average, 12A peak, Align BL700 = 3A average, 25A peak.

I use outrage torq's on all my 700+'s, never stripped a gear or broke a case in a crash, never had an inflight failure, I have over 20 of them in use right now and I wont hesitate to get more, $100 each on black Friday sales makes them very affordable too.

PS. The head block in your g4.1 kit, does it have "G4 Raptor" printed on it or is it blank?

I just built a G4.1 and installed ProTek 270T's. I think they are overkill as far as torque is concerned. Also they don't play well with Vbar.

0.09 transit speed, and 445 oz-in of torque @ 6.0V
0.07 transit speed, and 549 oz-in of torque @ 7.4V

PS- My 4.1 does have G4 Raptor printed on the head block.

Hey buddy, just flew my G4.1 for the first time the other day. Still breaking the engine in. You will love the way it flies! As far as the servos go, so far they are great. I am using a CGY750 FBL unit and so far have not had any issues (other than getting my governor to work properly). I was pretty intimidated as this is my first FBL helicopter, but it was so easy to set up. Enjoy it man!
