This is how my 450x is looking like right now... flies beautifully.

weight:
600g without lipo
783g with stock eflight lipo

speed skids are pretty stable... no problems landing and taking off

Wow! That sure is light! What blades are those? Is that colored tape all over them?

They are the stock mains... The colored tapes are "cubesmith" speed cube stickers. I like the colored disc it creates... But I do wanna try a set of rail 326 next!

Yeah I was surprised how light I got it even with the mks servos I am using. I'm curious how it would fly with the plastic stock servos now! Damn never mind, I threw those POS in the garbage.

I just hope that doesn't entail cutting the 600X's frame in half. I still dig the look of the 450X "speed". It looks a lot cleaner than I thought it would.

Nelsonisms, I rebuilt the mainframe out of balsa wood!

hey, can you imagine it exploding itself.. a balsa wood 450 helicopter?

you can see how much of the frame was removed. mainly just the lower esc tray. I went with a smaller and lighter YGE40 so it fit nicely snuggled under the main gear. this also helped raise the CG.

Finally have it the way I want it, smooth, quiet, vibe free, and rock solid reliable.
Might upgrade the edge light fifty esc but good enough for now.

Newly completed Lynx 450 LX - not too many Blade parts left. A lot of fun to fly!

Love my 450x. That Fusuno canopy rocks. Also have savox servos, scorpion motor, kbdd tail blades, and revolution mains. Unfortunately haven't been able to fly with this canopy yet.

Sweet! How do you like the DFC head? I almost went with that but one of the locals around here advized aginst. The "precision" system is rock steady, very smooth.
Like you I think I have about ten or twelve Blade components left. Have finally stopped worrying about what's going to break next and can finally just concentrate on actually flying.
