Default Just got an Arrma Fury SC truck to get me through this weather.

I have always had a small interest in RC cars and trucks and have had a Duratrax Nitro Evader ST for the past decade that I would dust off a few times throughout the year when I can't fly. The down side to it is that I usually don't have fresh nitro fuel to run it so it is not really convenient. The weather has been terrible for a while here in Utah so I decided it was finally time to pick up a decent hobby grade electric vehicle. I didn't have a lot to spend and I really wanted either another stadium truck or a short course truck. Went down to the LHS and found an Arrma Fury short course truck for 190 bucks and I have to say I have been really impressed. It came RTR with a brushed power system that I wasn't expecting much from but it turned out much better than I expected and I actually managed to wear out a set of rear tires in just 5 days. It ran great in stock trim but the run times with the included 2000mah NiMh battery were pretty poor at around 8 minutes so I threw in a 5000mah 2s LiPo and not only did it make for a pretty decent power increase but it also increased the run times to about 25 minutes. Its definitely worth it if you just want a cheap basher.

Same here, the weather so terrible wet and windy and needed something to get me outdoors. So got a used 5SC flux, great car runs on everything and through everthing. Great fun and as it's waterproof i can run it also when the weather is not that great.
