![]() Hello all, New to these parts and although threads of dwindling parts support are disconcerting, I'm a fan of a light 50 nitro and the TT seems to be the only player in the game. I'm curious if i buy one of these used x50s on HF, will it be the same as the x50f? Have there been many versions/revisions of the x50?

![]() Hey Cullen-
From my experience so far, the X50F is easily the most fun all around model I've ever owned. It's built much tougher than it would first appear. I've had a some nasty crashes which damaged very, very little. Very compact, but pretty easily maintained. It is just as you say...very light, and flies like it. I love the snappy pop it has, and it's still very stable off center. I've enjoyed the ease of engine access too. Extremely easy and quick to drop the engine, and clutch out when needed. Everything works very well. Only one single issue I've found is their fan hub installation. It's threaded on. Engine rotation serves to tighten it, so that's not a performance issue. But cranking it if it becomes flooded can loosen it. This can cause a bad day at the field if it happens, but simply be mindful of cranking the engine if it becomes hydrolocked. Much more potential for this when breaking in a new engine with a rich idle. But this is evidently not a very common issue, as I've never heard anyone else mention it. I've just seen it happen a few times myself. On the plus side, the clutch seems to hold up really well, and the gears are tough, so it doesn't seem to wear much. Excellent model.
