On which heli?

The BEC Pro shouldn't be used on 12S as it may not supply enough current. If you have HV servos, the 2S LiPo will be sufficient for any heli 550 class and above.

Is a kds 5.5
Castle edge 120hv
Servos 680 and 690 hv from the 7.2

With a 5.5 at 6S - edge 120, I used a Herc Super Bec - I'm still running spectrum and I also used a receiver instead of satellites. However, a 2s Lipo might help with balance because my 5.5 is a touch tail heavy.

If you go with the bec you won't have to worry about charging the rx lipo since you'll be flying off your flight pack. Just wire the CCPro as noted in the instructions to the 1st 6s pack that way you can just hookup the 1st pack to fire up the electronics and not the esc, then hook up the 2nd pack and fly. I already had rx packs that came with the helis, so I haven't converted over.

If hes running on a 6S setup he'll be connecting it directly to the ESC, so he should have no problems. The issue only comes when wiring up with 12S setups, which i did and had to deal with extra wiring. I use the Hercules Super BEC on my 7.2 directly on 12S, so that i don't have to deal with charging a 2S pack.

He can just hook the bec up to the first pack in the series connection and run the bec off of the 6s. Shouldn't be any more wiring than wiring 12s.

I would not take a chance with that BEC!!!
Seen to many fail, gryphon seem to have good reputation but the safest is the 2s set up!
