Good progress. Nose in was challenging for me after learning my tail in stuff, then side on orientations were harder. Not sure why but I think I should have learned side in first then nose in. Side in and nose in practice help out A LOT when learning figure 8s and circles/circuits.

Thanks! I appreciate the encouragement!

Yeah, I was adding side in practice to my piro hover practice on the sim, and could steadily hover my Axe 100SS (God rest it's brushless motor) and nCPX with the nose facing right, and was getting there with it facing left. I gotta get back to the basics, though. I've become enchanted with actually flying these two (450 and 360), so my sim practice has suffered.

Wow...the way you had that bird moving I thought for sure that you'd at least upgraded the motor. Very nice flying. I've upgraded most of the performance parts on mine, but I'm still a noob, so I'm not doing much beyond sport flying right now.

Default Sport Flying

I finally got my wife to record a flight, but it was near sunset and the mosquitoes were out in force. So, I kept it pretty basic since I spent half the flight swatting at the little blood suckers.

We tried to take a walk last night and the skeeters drove us back to the house. Your wife was a trooper to film you with the bugs mauling her. Nice work.

I do typically run a scorpion in it, but that motor needs new bearings at the moment. So it is stock motor for now.

Fixed wing for many years, but I suspect you mean heli, I've had 14 flights with my 450x. I've been flying heli for just a couple months. I no it shows.. I've not posted videos due to the boring factor of my flying....

It definitely shows. I've been flying for close to 4 months with no previous experience and I'm finally doing flips in the Sim, but not yet I real life!

I found my bail out move before I attempted to flip... Then whenever I get into a pinch I just flip out...

Shoot I've been flying helis for over two years (fixed wing for much longer) and I still don't feel like I should be uploading any videos. I can do most things pretty well...circuits/8s in all orientations, funnels, tic-tocs, piro flips etc., but it's nothing that people haven't seen a million times by pilots much better than myself. I guess it's my feeling that if it doesn't have something unique and interesting I'm not going to waste anybody's time. Maybe I'll upload a video in another couple of years.

You're right. Sorry. Reading that back I realize it came off somewhat negative. It was a long day. Shoot, I barely remember typing that. To each their own and all that jazz.

Decided to try some autos with the 450X this weekend. Didn't do to bad but still need more practice.

Nice. That's at least a good field for it. Very springy. Next time I want to see a double flip dismount.

I should try that some time. Not sure how smooth the landing would be. Would probably look something like this
