Default JetRanger 206

Hi,
I'm about to build an 700 size JetRanger based in a T-Rex 700L.
I have an 4525-520 Ultimate hanging around but maybe it's a bit on the overkill side. Might be to power hungry for a scale build?
Should I get it replaced to gain flight time?

It is overkill, but it should only use the power that your flying demands.

Scale flying should only use about 50W/lb, or 110W/kg, so not much at all. An average 2 blade 700 should fly on less than 1000W.

The most important thing with scale is to get a motor slow enough for the reduced headspeed. Most 3D heli mechanics with "stock" motors (ie. typical motors for 3D) are too fast for scale unless you have a good freewheeling ESC to throttle it back with. Depends on how much flexibility with gearing you might have with a 520kV motor. You should ably be aiming for about 1300-1350rpm headspeed.
