Too funny Otatiaro! You are spot on!! I have an OrangeRX and the plugs were so jammed in that i actually removed the housing on a few of the servo leads and installed each pin separately (I covered each connector with a sleeve of heat shrink. I couldn't understand why I had this issue with the Orange RX, but not with my FBL unit... now I know!! Thanks much for the explanation... now it all makes sense!!!

Given the above few posts about the headers, I am more excited than ever to try this unit out! Seems like they really thought through every small detail!!!

I like vertical pins, seems like I always have more vertical space for wires than horizontal space.

Nice design and style! The details on the instructions are great! It is amazing how many FBL software is well designed, but lacks good (or sometimes, any!) documentation and examples to help you. Really looking forward to it! Have you settled on a launch date yet?

Thomas: Do you still have plans to release a BLE adapter and iOS app eventually?

Yes it is work in progress ... we are in touch with Murata, they have a micro BLE unit we could use, and Qt 5.5 is out with BLE support (we were waiting on this a lot !).

Excellent! I'm looking forward to it. With Mikado making it harder to use their flight controllers with anything but VControl, and with your reputation for flight control systems, I may decide to switch my helis over to the Neuron.

Looking forward to feedback on this one as well.

After the Mikado thing (that will inevitably get worse as time goes on), the next big FBL manufacturer could be right around the corner. I'm very interested to see how this is taken in by hobbyists, and how the Neuron's "big brother" version performs as well.

I've had to spend an ugly amount of time building custom wiring because the FBL units don't have enough ports. (4 servo outs, ESC out, Gov in, 2 power in, 1 power backup, 2 sat inputs) Kind of a ridiculous expectation, but with the large helis using powerful servos, it seems like that sort of configuration is becoming more like the standard.

I also had nasty brownout issues with my mini-vbar when plugging the servos directly into the unit when powered by a straight 2S lipo. Were there any special steps taken to filter out (what I think is) EMF from today's servos?

The only way I solved this problem was to feed the servos from a regulated power bus. Will this be a necessary precaution with the current and future Neurons?

Can't hurt to ask...

I fixed much of this by ditching specktrum. Now I run one power wire to the RX, one power to the FBL (on the ESC port using a built in SBEC, or a Y-adapter with red missing to esc), and one wire between the RX and FBL which brings a second power to the FBL unit as well as signal.

This allows me to operate with only these ports:
4 servos
1 RX
1 ESC
1 rpm/gov

It also eliminates RX brownout since it no longer matters how good the fbl regulator is, gives me better telemetry (spektrum telemetry doesn't show signal without a full RX, and with remotes it's a wiring mess). And I also have mah consumed so I know when my battery is drained.

So yea, it would be great if it had more ports, but for futaba/jeti/jr people that use s.bus/udi/srxl it's really not a problem.
