That looks better!

Watching it carefully, it did seem to be drifting backwards a little - simple to fix though ...have you got a swash leveller to make sure it's perfectly flat?

hi mba83,

lol ...a father should never favour one child over another!

So far I have only got 7 flights in the 600X.
Now first up , I am no 3D pilot .....sport flying is my bag ...some big loops, some inverted and flips is where I am at. (so no expert, here)

Visually, in the air you can not see any difference in size.

Definitely more float when I do a auto-land ( throw throttle hold on at about 6-5 foot off the ground and land on the rotor inertia).

It does fly very similar to the 550X, but to me the 600X does have a 'bigger' feel to the way it flies. It is a subtle, but definite, difference though.

But then they are different birds:
The 550X is stock Blade setup ...full kit with AR7200BX, orig Spektrum servos and Castle Phoenix 130 ECS.

The 600X is built from a basic kit, where I added, Castle Talon 120HV ESC, the new Spektrum HV servos and the Spirit System FBL unit.

So at the end of the day..it will come down to the tuning of the FBL units ..I suspect.

I am currently working through a small tail chatter issue on the 600X.....only happens when I come out of the bottom of a big air loop.

Everything else is ....smooth as

Phil

The tail wag issue I had, is totally sorted. Just too much gyro gain.

When setting up the Spirit FBL, I picked a preset from the setup wizard which was for the Align 600. This preset has 1.4 times multiplier for the tail gyro. Way too much for the Blade 600X. Backed this off and all good!

I have been watching the Helifreak want ads for a good deal, missed one by a few hours. $115.00 shipped. I would have snapped it up instantly if I had seen it sooner. Probably won't find another deal that good.
I am now focusing on flying both of my T-Rex 600's for now. But yes, I will get it back up in the air. Too painful to look at all broken up. I was going to hang it on the wall to remind me to practice maneuvers on the sim before trying them at the field never attempted, no matter how simple. Was inverted flying left to right at a pretty good clip and tried an aileron roil to right side up. Over shot level and was heading off of the flight line towards the pits so I instinctively hit TH and buried it. Not sure why I didn't hit a little left aileron instead of TH, but that is easy to think of now.

Frame broken into many pieces. Servos survived. Motor appears ok, was launched out of the frame. I haven't torn it down yet so I don't know what survived as far as head or tail items. I am guessing that not too much survived except the electronics.
