Default Invertix 400 discontinued

Sad news. The Invertix 400 is discountinued.

Posted a few minutes ago on Facebook:

Quote:
Good Afternoon,
It is with sadness that we have decided to discontinue the Invertix 400 product line. After being on the market for over a year, the current market situation and order quantities do not justify keeping the Invertix 400 in production. Because we still have so much inventory on hand, we will be running a 50% off clearance sale on all of our Invertix 400 kits and parts through our web store. This also applies to the NEO propellers and Outlaw Power motors and ESC's. Support and spare parts will be limited at this time.
Because it seems everyone nowadays has a 3D printer or access to a table top CNC router, I will be posting the model's CAD files on a public site for all to access and view so that they can make their own replacement parts in the future if desired. They will be available on the Invertix 400 product page in the coming days.
If you have purchased the Invertix 400 over the course of the last year, we hope you have enjoyed the model and we are saddened to see it go. Thank you for being a valued customer.
Sincerely,
The Encore RC Team

I got the same email. Now I'm trying to decide rather to stock up on a bunch of parts or just fly it till it dies and throw it in the trash.

Yeah, I just got the same email. Really sad I have only had my Invertix since June 2015. I will continue to fly mine until I can't anymore.

If you need parts get them now the canopy's are almost gone! Which is what I tend to break the most the canopy and the props. They still have plenty of stock of the props for now.

I have to say that the Invertix has been a great learning model for me. I have learned so much in the past few months while flying it. And I have been able to transition to doing flips and rolls with my Heli because I was not afraid to crash the Invertix, which I have several times. But it has always held up well. After a crash just replace the props and the canopy and you were done back in the air in 5 minutes, no problems.

It is the perfect learning tool. I've had mine since the first of the year but just recently started flying it more. It's convenient for me to go out in my backyard and keep my orientations honed!

I got the same email. Pretty sad. I just bought some more parts.

Can you move the electronics to another frame in the future ?

Default Bummer

Just stocked up on a few props arms and canopies... Selling fast...

Really painful to buy parts just in case...due to future availability in such a recent release and to see people buying a machine for 1/2 what I paid less than a year ago. Ouch

There were 3 options to go with when I bought and I decided to support Bobby.
Don't think anyone will go near encore RC for anything they wish to have support for long term again. Sorry to see this bump in the road for them but wish them the best.

Right on Chris,

I'm not touching anything Encore RC (or any other Bobby Watts venture) again. Terrible way to go about it. I can see discontinuing the quad, but providing parts support for some time would have been a better way to go about it.

I would put the Invertix in a Hyper 400 frame, theyhave them for about $120 at helidirect. even thought the Hyper sucks, it has a killer frame. and if you run out of props, go to Lowes and get 8mm nylon spacers and drill them out to the prop shaft side. then use Leap 450 props or Voltave 500 props and drill them out. put the nylon spacer doun then the prop, then a star lock washer, then you lock nut. Longer flight times. and that Hyper frame will save your electronics.

I bought a new kit and a bunch of spares in case anything breaks. I really love my invertix and I'm hoping I'll be able to keep it in the air for a long time. It's a shame it's being discontinued.

I bought two extra frames, four canopies, blades, extra aluminum arms, a other ESC, a BEC. I really like this kit. Hopefully I can keep it flying for a long time.

I even have the fancy case for mine.
