I'm using the green KBDD tail blades on my rush, the ones with the metal washers. Now I'm worried about them....

It seems no matter the maker, there are always reports of plastic tail blades letting go.

Agreed. Please don't take my experience as all kbdd blades will break. It is just what happened to me. I just brought it up to make sure you are safe about it.

Sorry Scott. Not sure why I thought it was you using them.

No problem. I know for a fact that Ah Clem is using them because he's a KBDD team pilot and loves them. I would not worry about them at all.

Scott

I have a set of KBDD tail blades on my 600N and have flown in the winter at -10C.

No breakage issues. I would think at those temps they would be brittle, but they worked fine.

Thanks guys for setting me straight on the concern about the tail blades. I've used KBDD blades on a lot of my smaller helicopters without issue; unless I actually tapped the tail or had one go in under power.
