One of the big AMA advantages most members don't see is the insurance that the AMA underwrites for landowners that host clubs. Without that, there would be very few flying sites out there.

Yes, and this is the reason all of the clubs I am a member of require AMA membership.

Oh yea, a buddy of mine had a DJI 450 with carbon props chop the hell out of his hand and the AMA paid what his insurance did not and he had to pay very little for the major damage it did to his hand. Well worth the money for sure.

I believe it is MAAC? I think that if you come to AMA events in the States your MAAC coverage will allow you to fly as a substitute.

ya there is the MAAC, i think they cover $2 million liability. . I was going join few months ago but was end of year and cost the same as paying full year, now is the time to join.

The AMA has already posted their dissent with the task force recommendation. They were one of 25 organizations on the task force - how much control do you think they had over the process?

Registration was a foregone conclusion. Want to blame someone for it, blame the reckless idiots out there who have crashed their models into people and property and then run away.
