Default which is the quietest motor for the G570 ?

I'm looking for a motor that runs really quiet. The less 'electric whine' and the less high frequency noise the better.

Anyone have experience with these motors?

- Xnova 4025-560
- Scorpion 4025-550
- Quantum 4125-560

Which is the quietest? Which one operates with the least amount of noise?

Hi:

I think you will find that most motors run fairly quiet all on their own. What will give you the real noise is the gear system. If you have a lot of backlash (Align tail drives are notorious for too much backlash) or have the mesh too tight, you will get a lot of gear noise. Belt drive tails can be quite a bit quieter than torque tube designs. Although not as popular anymore, inrunner motors can be fairly quiet as well. I had a Logo 5003D with a Neu motor that was extremely quiet. Hope this helps.

IMO the XNova motors are noticeably quieter than Scorpions (also cooler). I have no experience with Quantum.

A few years ago I changed out a Scorpion 4025-550 for a Xera (predecessor to XNova) 4030-470, and the Xera was better in every respect.
