Default Pin in torque tube end shearing

How many of you have experienced this behavior ?

I have heard it has happened and am a little concerned

Hasn't occurred to me on both 12S and 6S setups, would like more details as to which pin though so i can check

Can't even imagine it, it's a 3mm steel pin. More likely if at all the hole in the tube would oblong or tear.

Have you heard of or seen this happen, have a link to such report?

Yes It happened to a buddy's 5.5. We speculated that the mesh was too tight.

As long as it is not a common occurrence then great.

I am waiting for a new esc to arrive so I can really start to throw it around.

I use a 3mm shouldered bolt with lock nut works great.

I glued mine with epoxy I also put head shrink over the ping just to make sure it doesnt go any where i have tons of flights on 12s and before on 6s no problem at all

the issue was not the pin moving.. it is if the mesh is too tight the load on the pin will shear it..

Regardless of epoxy
