Default KDE600XF-530-G3 6S Question

I just purchased the 600XF-530-G3 for my low headspeed Trex 600L and missed the part of the specs that show a voltage range of 8s to 12s. Will it still be possible to run this motor using 6S?

Thanks,

Sawacs

Yes but the 6S with 530KV will give you about 1300RPM governed max with the stock 14T pinion. You possibly will run into all kind of tuning and tail problems at that low RPM.

Gearing is the key to get the motor running within its efficient range. It will work with 6S setup. Without the proper gearing, you will not get the advertised performance.

Thanks for the info. I have all of the gearing information worked out. Also, I am placing an RC Tek 3 bladed tail system on the 600 so there shouldn't be any issues with the tail at the lower head speed. In fact, I have a Trex 550 DFC running 606 mains and 95 tails @ 1400 and the rudder works just fine for my style of flying.

Thanks,

Sawacs

I have RC Tek tri tail on my Tribolin conversion. Excellent quality and way better than the SAB stock. Enjoy and have fun
