Default BC8 charger software update.

I have an older BC8 and was wondering if this can sent back and updated? I would like to use it with the Hobbico Life source battery.

Bantam is out of business and Evan (RC Accessory) hasn't been at HF for almost a year.

Is there something special about the Hobbico LiFe batteries that prevent you from using the BC8's LiFe program? I used to have the BC8DX, but still have the older BC6 and BC6-10, and all of these chargers would work with the LiFe batteries.

Here is link to the BC8 manual, and the LiFe instructions begin on Page 9 of the PDF:

http://www.ircha.org/sites/default/f...ntam%20BC8.pdf

Page 7 of the PDF shows how to change between LiPo and LiFe charge programs.

Thanks for posting the link of the manual, the charger I have wants to discharge the battery to 4 volts, for a 2s pack. The Hobbico LIfe source instructions say not to discharge below 5 volts, or pack will be ruined.
I have been using a Hobbico charger just for this battery, but it doesn't
show how much Mah is being put back in the pack. Its just a peak charger.
