![]() What would another ESC do for you ? The props are still going to use a certain amount of amps and give a certain flight time using the same size battery. If you put a more aggressive prop on the consumption will increase. The Outlaw 25 amp ESCs on the Invertix seem to handle the power fine ? The price of them on Encores site is lowered and very reasonable. In fact all the parts.

![]() Point taken.
Ill probably build a tri copter out of one of the kits I picked up before I move to a different esc.Allthough I'm eyeballing the 30 amp for a 210 fpvnracer I'm building. I'm guessing the esc would fail first due to over current (heat).then the motors, then the lipos over time. I'm gonna have to get a current sensor logger to do this right. The main reasons I want to move to a tri ,are the yaw rate and orientation. After all this is really just a stepping stone to 3d heli. |

![]() Orientation for quads is not great. The thing with the Invertix is that crash costs are low.
Helis with a tail are easier to distinguish. Still hard at times. I use the BD3SX FBL system in all my Helis. Doesn't always help but it may prevent a crash if you have time to hit the rescue leaver or button. You need to fly high enough that hopefully you can recover.

![]() Had em laying around ,from some other props.
Anything will work, Dont sweat drilling em out I drill em out in seconds freehand ,dont balance anything......they dont last that long to worry about .LOL Havnt flown in a couple days ,had a REALLY bad crash ,even broke one prop LOL Friggen thing is bullet proof.Did you catch the fleabay link I posted on the stingray thread ??? |

![]() I checked out the link. I have so many parts I am not sure what I would do with another one. That is cheap. I guess for more parts.
I will have to figure out something for the four bushings. Cut up a couple of blade Hub's from the original blades I guess?

![]() old blade hubs are fine ,plastic wachers ,tubing cutoffs anything .
Use em on top so the props bear on the wide motor plate. Buy an extra for experimentation ,tweak the fc or try a new one ??? I never leave good enough alone......typical sloper eh???? |

![]() Anyone played with throttle curve settings ????
Trying to take away a little of the center stick sensitivity. Do I need to dig into the FC setup ,or can I do it with my Futaba 8fg super ?? I'll be experimenting this week. LIght on the throttle and timing seems to help tighten loops and rolls. does pulling in the endpoints limit the top end rpm ???I do have a meter to check, |

![]() I have never tried playing with the throttle settings so I am not sure.
If you lower the throttle curve you just have less power don't you. Not just lower power at Center. Just thinking out loud.

![]() It says in the manual that if you want to you can decrease the throttle end points to reduce overall power. 125 go to 100 and try then go from there and see if you want to reduce it even more.

![]() I think what I want is less throttle expo ,not sure how to get it.Gonna start out tweaking the curve down at center stick which is 0-25 % on the throttle curve in idleup 2.
cant seem to find the answer in the manual. Ill try endpoints when it stops raining ,our summer weather run just ended .....for a couple days at least LOL. Im gonna put the esc from one of the kits on a 210 frame with racing motors and fc ,have 5/3 gemfan 3d props on the way........should be an insane little 3d quad . |

![]() endpoints at 95 ,seems like I could go alot lower still.
I also think slowing down the throttle curve helps too, take offs and landings seem smoother Ill keep tweaking em till I find the bottom and go from there. Starting to get tighter slower rolls and flips ,with plenty of power. |

![]() FRom what Ive read in the manual, the throttle can have a curve or expo , not both at the same time.
Which makes perfect sense since they kinda do the same thing. Futaba is new to me ,so theres allot I dont know that I dont know.LOL |

![]() Drilled the leap 400 blades and found some plastic material in the garage cut it in half to make bushings. Fit the blade and tested it out front of my house. Works just need to get a better test.
Changed my lights around as well. Put the white ones up front on the inside of the arms just below the motors. Put the red ones on the back inside boom just under the motors. Put the blue ones on the bottom. Looks nice.

![]() 6 pitch is too aggressive for this bird ,youll destroy batteries and performance will not be the same as the shallower props.

![]() Sorry I haven't been on here for a while. I will have to check where I got the mayteck props. They seemed to fly pretty good. I crashed and broke my leap 450 props and I have so many of the stock Invertix props I put them back on for now. I will have to get some more leap props.
