Default Tail gears needed. Anyone have them?

Hi, HeliFreaks!

Posting this for a friend who has a 700x that needs tail gears.

He needs the whole gear train, basically.

BLH 5738
BLH 5739
BLH 5740
BLH 5741

Does anyone know of a source for these?

Thanks,

Matt

I found one of them for you on Ebay. You might search there for the rest. Here is the BLH5739. Only one left.

Thanks! I've been searching EBay and the usual heli vendors.

I feel bad for the guy - he bought a 700x combo a year and some change ago, and set it aside until he felt ready for it. Now, he's got a $1400 paperweight unless he can find some gears.

I've suggested he cut his losses and look for a used current airframe to rehome the electronics.

It's a shame putting out that much and finding out now parts are almost impossible to find. The 400 and 450 series Blade and Trex helis are super easy to get parts for still. I guess it's because of the popularity factor. I doubt anywhere near as many 700X's were ever bought in comparison.

Amazing how many (almost all) LHS have not joined the Internet age in the context of allowing online product searches or purchases. I bet the remaining part can be found searching for Blade retailers (horizon hobby site provides this by zip code and other means) of a size that may have once stocked the B700X and making phone calls.

Also, I had heard that Germany had laws requiring 10 years of parts support. (Unverified)

I think in the end, buy a Protos 700 V2 and move the parts over.

It is a shame that you can't get the tail gears anymore, Horizon my as well throw the remaining parts for the 700x in stock in the dumpster because they will never sell. It would be in their interest to have another run made of the faster moving parts, (like tail gears) AND it will improve customer satisfaction.

I'd bet it has a common sized boom, I think it's the same as Trex 700. If so you are laughing, keep it flying!

Apparently 172 in stock at this link.

Deleted: Obviously a scam site. As pointed out by phishbot below. Edit #4

Good luck.

Edit. Every Blade part I choose at that site shows "172" in stock. Hope this is not yet another wild goose chase.

2nd edit. The site linked to above seems fishy. Buyer beware.

Edit #3. Bored with TV.

This link looks more legit than the one above. The item went in my cart, so or or

https://zone-rc.ca/products/blh5740-...348996&lang=en

Edit #5. Good luck. I'm going to shop my next PC build now.

Good luck.
I found this site as well. They only take Western Union, Direct Wire Transfer... and are based in Malaysia.

Probably not gonna chance it, thanks for the help though!

It has been half a week since I posted this link above...

https://zone-rc.ca/search?page=8&q=Blade+700

So to the OP and to Phishbot, success or failure?

We found a set, a single set, on eBay.

I passed the link to this thread on to the owner of the heli, I'll let you know if I hear anything back.

Again, if the boom is the same diameter put a complete tail unit from another machine.

That's easy to mod too.
