Default ESC RPM output question

Here's a question probably for BrainDev.

Right now on all my models, I use the RPM output to run the governor on the Brain. I've been experimenting using an Arduino nano to gather telemetry information and send it back to my Taranis. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=758263

Can I split the RPM signal wire from the HobbyWing ESC and use for both the Brain and the Arduino input, or would this cause problems with the governor? And I guess if the answer is "I don't know" How would I look at the Brain logs to see if it was causing problems? Is there an event that gets set if RPM input is lost?

Any problem.

But:

a) If your unit is a Brain1, avoid to power the Arduino nano from the 3,3V of the GOV connector, use only the common/gnd and the signal of the GOV connector and power the Arduino nano from servo rail voltage (with a voltage regulator if needed for Arduino nano).

b) May be is not needed but if possible, avoid to change the impedance of the signal adding pull up or pull down resistor (also in the programmation setup of the port used from Arduino nano).

To understand if RPM signal is received or not received from the GOV port of Brain is simple: look at the end of the governor page (wizard and/or advanced) and look if RPM value stay at zero or change changing the motor RPM.

I split the gov signal wire from ikon to also go to TM1100 telemetry module. But only the signal wire..If it helps. Worked great

I was doing the same with telemetry and a VBar before I switched over to Graupner ESCs (I use a Graupner MZ-24 transmitter).
