Default Question for the Gaui crowd

Hey guys...I'm just starting to get into rc helis and will be purchasing a sim here soon and probably a k110 micro for something to learn on and fly indoors.

I also wanted something larger for when I'm ready and was debating between the Gaui X3 or X5...just wanted to know what you guys would recommend for a fairly newer pilot and why you chose the gauis or other choices in the first place.

Thanks for any advice!

Gaui X5. Its easy to build and very low maintenance. Flies amazingly well. Ive had one for 5 years and no telling how many flights. It's all original. Never even changed a bearing out. If you do crash it takes it well. Iv seen a lot of them put in and they are quick to get back in the air. It flies like a much larger heli. I also have an X3. Its a good flying heli but I prefer the X5 any day.

You won't be disappointed with either. The X3 is a tank and handles crashing better than most in it's class. The X5 is just a all out awesome helicopter.
If you get the X3, buy the belted tail kit. It is a bit smoother.

I recommend x3. I haven't found another heli yet with as excellent a balance between flying great and being cheap to build and crash. It's certainly not top shelf quality as far as fit and finish, it'll have sole slop, but I found that the slop doesn't hurt how well it flies, so go for it :-)

Great flying little heli.
