Website looks to be pretty much dormant, no more mention of the "big-brother" to the Neuron...

Is everyone just flying these without issue? Has everyone moved on?

I had one at intro for a bit, flew fine for me...no issues at all.

Now looking to revisit for fixed wing....Cannot find any info, feedback ...Has it just gone away???

Inquiring mind wants to know before I spend some $$$ on one.

Noone knows... they may concentrate on multirotor. No news for heli or fixed wing since long time.

Hello,

Nop, still there

To be honnest we are quite focusing on the release of the EZManta autonomous drone at the moment (we expect to ship first units very early 2017).

But some part of the dev we do for the drone can be backported to the other products (e.g. I'm redesigning our in house RTOS, with an expected x2 performance), and we continue gathering good ideas for future developments on current products and also new products for RC.

Plus the current Neuron firmwares are quite stable at the moment (no known bugs). Probably next one we'll work on is plane, we have some important new features to implement.

Thank you for your reply Thomas, I had always hoped you and your company would do well against the "big-boys".

I certainly understand having to concentrate your time where the money is.

Thank you again for your reply

Jamie

Good news that you guys are still up and running. Any chance of a price drop since the hardware is a bit older? I feel like at $99 you'd sell a lot more.

Hello,

We released the Core version some weeks ago which is less expensive (but without the case).

I have a unit in a Fokker DVII biplane and it works very well. Just as good as the Bavarian Demon Cortex I normally use. A lot more convoluted to setup though.

I've just set up 2 on my helis and purchased a third for another in my fleet. I found set up to be straight forward. Fight performance is good so far, and I'm still tweaking the tail settings. If this is as the unit's performance as well as I can tune it, I'll be satisfied- I was having trouble finding a reason to not switch to a FBL with a rescue/bailout feature. "If it saves you one crash, it pays for itself...". I haven't tried the governor function on the Neuron.

(I only have experience with the AR7200bx as comparison.)

I like the PC/phone/tablet interface. I'm an Android user and it makes me smile to find an app that is available on the Android platform that isn't available on iOs.

For the money, I feel it is a value.

It flies very well when its configured properly. Didn't find major bugs. But I'm not sure whether or not its a good future investment because of the stagnacy.

I have two because I like the way it flies. Better then my microbrain I use in another hele. Featurewise I would clearly prefere the brain (vibration analysis, logging).

For me tail bounce on clocwise pirouette still there on all my helis, I can't fix it, I've try everything D gain and tail assimetry.
Same issue on all 3 helis, different size.
Another thing it's the gov performace it's very poor, on YGE somethime don't change headspeed from different curve, on castle I can't find a good tune, I have a lot of over RPM and if I tunes the gains for resolve this gov not hold well.
I really love the feel of this unit but this lack of support it's very frustrating.

Try lowering I-gain (you may go to very low values, just until the heli beginns to spin) to improve the stopping.

For the gov I have the same problem on the highest throttle curve. It appears when the gov neds to open the esc to 100% but can't hold the rpm anyway (motor to weak, to less reserve, battery low). Then it overspeeds when load is reduced and doesn't bring down the rpm when switching to another throttle curve.

That analysis is very interesting, I'll investigate that specific part.

Thanks.

In my case: 92% Gas / 2600 rpm; full pitch results in ~ 2500 rpm; when I punch it a few times, rpm goes up to around 2800 after load reduction and stays there for maybe 10 sekonds. Switching down to a lower throttle curve doesn't help immediately.

Its the only weeknes of the very very good governor. In the lower rpms (2250 / 2000) with enough headroom it works perfectly except some acceptable overspeed).

Airaginator I have same problem as you with YGE, from an high curve go to lower curve head speed change after 15-20 seconds. With a castel creations seems that not happend but I don't work good, first I have problem with manouvre when there is an high disc load and after load come down. In these cases Headspeed go up and after come to normal rpm, I have resolved this with lower I gain but after head speed don't hold well with high disc load.
For tail bounce I l'm already low with I gain,I'm at 20 now if I go below tail become very flabby and don't hold well
