Default BEC supply for APM controller

I have a hexacopter hence 6 ESC's with 5v BEC's. Is there any pitfall in connecting all six BEC outputs in parallel and powering the APM (for multiple redundancy), but if one should fail, could it mess up the APM.
Thanks for any comments, advice etc.

nope. by the math thats 5v at whatever amperage x 6. so as long as you are wiring them all in parallel you would get (example at 5v 1a per) 5v at 6a possible.

same deal. 5v @ 1a each = 5v @ 6a
