Default are you sure?

getting spare parts for a raptor 60 is getting more difficult so it might not be a good idea to invest in what could be a "one crash" heli.

Does the frame you have include the fan and clutch parts?
the stock version was designed to fit thunder tiger own 70 size engine and most os engines up to 90 size,

YS engines require a different fan.

The Raptor 60 will fit any "big block" engine.
The model is the "Raptor 60", but it uses a .61cu (10cc) motor.
This includes .70cu, .91cu, 1.05cu & 1.20cu

All motors that are .61cu and bigger will drop right into the airframe.

Finding a .61 motor will be tough.
But, do not buy a .60cu motor - it will not fit. That is a "small block" and the mounts are the same format as the .50cu / .55cu

Thanks Ticedoff8 for detailed answer. So if I understood correctly, If I buy some OS .91 for instance it will fit and in case I am not using Raptor any more (crash for instance) I can use the same motor for some newer model like Trex 600 N, or similar ?!!
So in that case it is not that bad investment

As I said: Motors from the .61 to the 1.20 are all "big block" motors.

The Trex 600 is a 50-size heli (similar in size to a Raptor 50).
The stock T600N will not fit a .91 without modifications.
It will fit motors in the .50 to .60cu size ("small block").
You can find threads about the "big block" conversion for the Trex 600N.

A .91 motor will fit any of the "700 size" or "90 size" helicopter kits.
EG: Trex 700N

The market for "60 size" helicopters dried up quickly.
The Raptor 60 had a short life.
Thunder Tiger quickly morphed it into the Raptor 90 by stretching the tail and adding longer main blades.
The main problem with the R90 was that the clutch and transmission were still built to stand up to the power of a .61 motor. Those parts were not really built to stand up to the power of the .91 engines.

But, if your goal is to move up to a 700 size heli, a .91 would be a good 1st step.

I literally took all the electronics and engine out of my R90 SE/3D and bolted them into a Trex 700N flybar equipped heli.

FYI: The Thunder Tiger G4 nitro has a lot of compatible parts for that will fit on the old R60 / R90 frame.
Not everything is compatible. But it is worth noting.

Also, the .91 maybe too powerful for the stock R60.
The R60 uses a shorter tailboom and blades than the R90.
An R60 with a .91 could be to be a handful.
It could also be a blast to fly.
