Default Thank you Nick

Over the winter I rebuilt my 570 and decided to re-gear it to drop the head speed.

I was running at 2400 and 2550.

Now I'm at 2200 and 2300 and I LOVE it. So much more manageable and smooth. It's like a whole new heli and it's even more awesome than it was.

Thank you for talking about it and planting that seed in my mind.

I think it's the 22 tooth pinion. I'm on 12S with a 550kv motor.

I'll dbl check that though. I might be wrong. Could be the 21.

I'm also running the Ikon Gov and a HW 100A v3 ESC if you're interested.

It is a 22t pinion. I wish they were marked like some other brands are. PITA to count them while they are still on the model.

Hey Thanks! I am thinking of going 8S on the 570 just not sure if it would be beneficial doing so. Less weight than 12S, more efficient? than 6S. Aiming for 2200 headspeed though

If you're not familiar with it, google Mr Mel Headspeed Calculator.

It can help you determine pinion size.

8S would be really good for the 570. 6S is hard on packs. 12S is really easy on packs.

Default Tail Pully

Hey Jweber, are you using the speedup pulley on the tail or the stock pulley?

I used the speed up pulley, but to be honest, never tried it with the stock pulley, so it may work just as well, but I really like fast funnels and we usually have wind where I fly, so I just used it.
