Default Verifying Rescue on Bench

I have AUX 3 assigned on of the switched on my DX8. When I turn flip the switch or turn on Rescue, secondary GAIN in the transmitter setup window goes from 100% to negative 100%. Is this how it should function? OR should I reverse the channel.

Thanks

I'll plug mine in and look at the tx screen on my phone and see what happens when I hit rescue.

It'll be tonight before I'm able to say.

Ok thanks. I would like to know whether the servos will move and try to level the heli like my VBAR NEO

Figured it out. Sorry still learning this system. I didn't have the rescue option activated for that channel.

Sounds like you may have figured it out.

I did check last night. I have mine assigned to the gyro channel, on a momentary switch on my tx. At rest the transmitter display from the Neuron shows an output of "0". When I press the rescue switch, the output goes to "+60", and resets to "0" on release of the button.

The blades jerk and shift to try to implement a leveling maneuver as I press the switch.

Be aware that the collective will snap back to wherever the L stick is on release, which can cause your model to potentially punch itself up or down on release, depending on where it is.

(The iKon 2 fbl I have restores collective control over 0.5-1sec when you release rescue, which makes for a more gentle resumption of collective control.)

Good luck!

Ok thank you for checking. Do I need to calibrate the FBL to set the level position. I had to this on my NEO everything time I need to change the orientation.

You will set the rescue pitch, which will determine how strongly the model will climb out once it is level. There was no other adjustment to make to get mine working properly.

I did change to mounting tape to something thicker. I did this after the model developed a significant lean in rescue. (Meaning that it didn't rescue to level- the model in question would go upright, but not go truly level.) It seemed to like to settle itself banked forward and a bit to the right. I changed the mounting tape, and it now levels more fully so that it more directly rises vertically instead of moving over land.

(I hope that made sense...)
