In my case they also needed a lot of reaming and when finished still have zero slop. Very reassuring links, coming from Align...

The bottom line on the links is-if they do not move smoothly on the balls, ream them. If they do move smoothly you don't need to.

If you do ream, do so carefully and deliberately. They must move smoothly, but with no slop. Scott's advice to get spare links is excellent.

Mine were in the category that reaming was necessary.
