![]() Hi Guys,
I hope there's someone out there that could guide me here. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I am a beginner when it comes to heli settings and bought an Align 470LM with the hope to use the 150x GRS to practice. Could anyone share with me the settings for a beginner? I understand most of the settings are controlled via the app. But there are a few settings on the TX that should be setup also. Perhaps I could transfer this knowledge to my 470.. I am using a Futaba 14SG and feel free to post some screenshots and your app settings file. It will help loads. Thanks.. |

![]() Hi Cagen! Is not much what you have to do to put this little bird in the air. Well, just begin with a new memory at your transmitter with default settings in channels travel and straight 0-50-100 throttle a pitch curves. Connect it to the app and once the heli is bound to your transmitter, make a stick travel calibration with the button at the bottom of the transmitter section. Then, go to swashplate section and make sure your swash is level (mine was out of the box). Once the swash is leveled, go to Collective section, center the pitch stick at the transmitter and check that you have 0 degrees there (you may use a pitch gauge there, or fold back both blades and check they are parallel). Then, tap the "Collective" button and check that with pitch stick at it topmost and bottom position you get +/-11º. Once again, you can use a pitch gauge or a app such as RC HELI PITCH. Once this is done, you may want to go to "parameter" section and tap on "Beginner" button. That's all.
You can then exit the APP, set your pitch and throttle curves (suggested normal mode: throttle 0-80-80-80-80, pitch -3, 1, 5, 7,5, 10 and idle mode 90-85-80-85-90, pitch -11, -5.5, 0, 5.5, 11), and you are ready to fly. Enjoy!

I am a little confused with the pitch curve values you provided. They seem a little on the low side to me. Quote:
However, if it helps. I have found settings in relation to the 150 DFC I have tried these and they work pretty well. Setup for the Align T-Rex 150 DFC – Spektrum, JR, Align/Futaba S-FHSS Transmitters (Standard-Beginner-3D Transmitter Settings) |

However, I agree that the setup you refer seems quite reasonable, although the pitch curves may not be optimal (don't know exactly with how many pitch degrees every value corresponds). But, if you like how your heli flies with that setup... then don't touch it! ![]()
