I own one since April .

On the esc I didnīt change anything , only set the govenor to store.

I use lipos from mylipo with a C rating of 30 .

I fly circles , loopings , soft 3D .

Try 1600 to 1800 headspeed , I use 1700 most

Hi ThomasG,

Thanks for your reply.
How many mAh do you use (for example: 5000 mAh).

I guess you fly with moderate speed.

After 6 minutes flighttime , I have to charge about 4000 to 4500 mA.

I use 2x 4000mA or 2 x 5000mA lipos.

So , after 6 minutes the lipos are still about 50% full

Hi ThomasG,

is then actually 5000mAh lipo a little heavy ?

Which size do you think is best suited for moderate flight ?

I can't see and feel a big difference. I use the 4000 mA Lipos mainly because I have them from another heli. And sometimes the 5000mA.

No big difference.

The difference should be in the flight time.

I actually expect over 10 minutes. So let's see now, when my new heli arrives.

I probably measure out, which lipo exactly fits in.

I am asking all this, because I'm completely against short flight times of 4 to 5 minutes.

I tuned all my helis (starting with Trex450 DFC) to fly at least 71/2 minutes.

I could reach 10 minutes with my 700X if I crank the headspeed down.
With the V2 using a less hungry motor and a headspeed around 1800 to 1900 10 minutes should not be an issue at all.

I am flying my 700X at 2050 headspeed. I fly funnels, cuban eights, rainbows - stuff like that but no smack 3D. I land after 6 minutes having used 3000 to 3200 mAh out of 5000 mAh.
