Header tank mounting hardware
What's everyone using to mount their header tank to the nx4? I've looked everywhere for the hardware and have it double sided taped now. Know that's not going to last with nitro. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached picture is of my header tank.

Mate all you need is a frame spacer.
I had an old canopy mount post from my synergy N5C that i used. Hobbyking sell spacers in 10 different lenghts

To be honest no matter what I did it always turns with that hardware.
I put two sided tape on the tank support for the big tank and then two zip ties. Always stays level and less hardware. |

header tank
I learned those header tanks are not rated for gasoline. Leaked after 1st weekend. Guess I am looking for a gas rated header tank or just doing without.

Frame spacer for nx7, washer on each side of the mount hole, red loctite, have to readjust here and there but it works. I can share a pic if you need.

that mounting tape will last about 1.5 flights before it is oil soaked and loses all adhesion. ask me how I know.

It's been fine for 20+. It's not really doing anything anyway. The zip ties are what's really holding it. the tape was just to keep it from slipping or something. just extra precaution.

that's what i did too, and i agree with you. the tape failed pretty quickly but the zip ties work fine. the helicopter comes down with the header tank tilted most flights but it functions fine. i saw no need to worry about it either. i am using the t10 engine so that may also be harder on the tape as i'm using about 20% 2 cycle oil.
