Default NX5.5 build

Started a build on a new NX5.5. The reason I am calling it 5.5 is because Im using the 550 stretch on this. I have had a nx4 and nx5 before but this 5.5 will be new to me. So far I have just built the majority of the kit and obtained a OS50 hyper and Hatori pipe for it. I changed all the factory button head screws out for stainless socket head. I have an issue with gorilla hands on the button heads and destroying them. I have quite a few parts left to get: X5 blade grips, aluminum fan, carbon front tail pushrod, dual point tail slider, 550 stretch kit, vtx 557, switch or rail tails, 50/55 mount kit, xpert mini servos, and bavarian demon axon. Here are some pics I have taken so far of progress....

I currently have the rail 80.6 but if they do not hold I will go to a 84 or 85.

Order some Xpert mini servos for the NX550 last night. 3301 on cyclic and throttle and 3302t on the tail. Only thing left now is to decide on which fbl controller to use.

I would use a tail servo on any gas throttle being governed.

Which flybarless system do you have that allows the use of a 760 servo on throttle?

Interesting..... probably a good reason most others don't . I can't imagine seeing a difference going from a .07 to a .03 speed on a fueled engine. Anyways I am fired up and ready to maiden tomorrow! 5000mah rx pack got it pretty damn close on CG so Im super happy about that!

Im going to try the 80.6 tails for the maiden but I have rotortech 85s coming tomorrow too. Going with 2300 idle 1 and 2400 idle 2 for headspeed.

That looks really cool! 5000mAh is decent capacity, should get a few flight off that lol!

Maiden went great! The 5000mah rx pack really did a great job with the CG. Need to tame it down a bit as its a little squirrely but other than that it's a beast! Set it up with 2300 and 2400. 2300 feels the best with these VTX blades for sure. Flew 5 flights and barely dug into the rx pack lol.

What sort of flight time do you get on that? Is it using the stock tank?
