Default 150X Board with External BLH ESC XP7A

I got this idea from the MCPX Brushless Mod. I thought I would share it here as well.

I wanted to try if I could control the 150X GRS board with my Futaba 8FG with DSM2 module along with the external BHL ESC.

Here's where I'm at so far...
150X Board with BHL XP7A (1 min 33 sec)

I will eventually install this unit into my MCPX, I'm still waiting for my ESC for the tail XP3A.

So far I'm not having any binding issues with 3 different sat rx...

Seems exciting but... I'm missing something? Did you manage to link your Futaba to a DSM2 satellite? Your Futaba transmitter is only FASST compatible, doesn't it? How did you manage to bind it to a DSM2 satellite?

My apologies if I'm asking something obvious, but... what do you mean by "OP"?

Definitely lost now :-(

How did you manage mounting it? A swashplate is different. Trex 150 has aileron servos at front while v977 at aft.

Did you install brushless tail?

From one of the pictures it looks like you've removed the top board with the MRS sticker on it. Is that boards purpose only for the Futaba S-FHSS rx?

Because I'm thinking about desoldering mine, since I'm using a specktrum sat.

Update.

Decided to remove the top module even after the recommendation of enterprise hobby of not to remove the top module.

Good news is that by removing that top board does not seem to have any impact to the GRS so far...

That's right it's fhss rx and can be removed. With micro dsmx sat and removing the plug this one is much lighter than most stock fbls.
