Default 4020-1100

I can't get a answer so I figure I would try here.

I bought a Goblin 500 combo kit which came with the Scorpion 4020-1100 motor. Does anyone know the size of the shaft? I emailed Helidirect and they do not know. Is it 5, 6 or 8?

Or is there a way to measure it?

Thanks. Anyone have this motor in a Goblin 500 sport? How does it hold up? Excessive heat? Seeing what else needs to be done with it before I put it in.

Not sure on 4020, but there's something wrong with the 4025-1100 in a Goblin 570, regarding heat.
I have other size Scorpion motors, and never noticed really excessive heat in my ESC's or the motors.
With the 570, the ESC (HW 120--and I have other HW's) got too hot to touch, and the motor also. This was hovering with no canopy.
With other motors (exact same flight conditions) the 570 stays cool (HW ESC in very low 100's F. A Scorpion 120 ESC went from almost 100C ! to 63 C after removing the 4025 motor.
I stuck an Align 730MX from a 550x on the 570--stays very cool, plenty of power with no strain.
I think any recommended-size motor would be fine except for the 4025.
With the 4020, this may not apply at all, but I'd be aware of it, if for instance your ESC comes down boiling hot, when it never did before.
