Default KST servos won't fit in 450 Plus DFC.

I recently had a "learning moment" which necessitated some repairs. Since I damaged one of my servos, thought it would be an opportunity to replace all of them with KST DS215MGs. My biggest problem is I can't get the front two to fit (pitch and aileron). They seem to be just a hair bigger and have a rubber protector for the wires where they leave the servo. Tried doing some "light" sanding to enlarge the opening, but am afraid of going too far. You have to get the servo wires behind the mounting plate but then the other end just won't fit into the opening. I have a T-Rex 450 Plus DFC. Anyone have any suggestions? The tail rotor and Elevator servos fit fine.

I've noticed the same thing even with the Align servo's. I usually just put the rubber protector in first, then push the servo in the direction of the protector and convince the servo to slide in the rest of the way.

Next time I have to remove the servo's, I'm going to enlarge the opening so they will slide in easier.

You can trim or cut away the rubber grommet for a lower profile. Hot glue the lead if you're concerned about strain relief. I've trimmed my MKS 480s to better fit the Oxy 2 and it works just fine - even without the hot glue.

What I ended up doing is removing the end cap on the servos, pushed the thru from the inside and then then reinstalled the cap. Was lucky that the case screws are from the top, whereas the Align's were from the bottom.
