Woo hoo!
Been flying my 480 with 523 blades. Pretty much in the same ballpark as the 516.
I suspect there will be many happy pilots soon.

I'm not expecting any issues, assuming the published dimensions of the servos are correct, which I believe they are.

My bet is they're coming from China. Be here by the end of the week and spread out to dealers over the following week and a half

1200kv motor, a 16T (2100 rpm) or 17T (2250 rpm)
1350 kv would only allow a minimum of 2400 rpm using a 16T

what size of pinion are comming

5mm 16/17?
6mm?

Comes there a 550 stretch kit?

And it requires a 5mm motor shaft.

they should have just made the pinions 6mm, then people with 5mm motors could use a bushing like sab does. and 6mm motors would just drop in.

I got a lathe so..........

+1 kinda stings when manufacturers change a fairly minor thing that forces a major purchase for some. Especially when they aren't the ones profiting from it.

Most 4020 motors are 5mm shaft though?

The only motor I can think of is the Kontronik Pyro 600 that has a 6mm shaft, but its too short to use in the 516.

I'm not too sure. I think scorpions 4020 shafts are 5mm but xnova 4020s are 6. Until they made a motor specially for the 516

Xnova made both prior to the 516 version.

I don't know, 5mm motor shaft, seams like a minor issue with what looks to be a super nice heli.

I suspect it was the result of what I assume to be the goal of keeping the heli as light as possible. Plus as mentioned, lots of motors with that shaft size.
SMJT and Stringfellow91 like this.
