Default Aux Power (Slave) to CGY ?

I have a slave power lead going to Futaba receiver--(7003)--on a couple of helis.
Should I take it off ?--something about a "ground loop" ?
I don't have the CGY on any large helis yet --if I remove power to receiver, should I just stay with that?
If I mount CGY on a large heli, are there some recommended (brands of) Y harnesses--or is power to/through the receiver a non-issue?
Thanks

I don't think that's a problem, it's common practice to have a dual, power input to all manner of FBL and receiver and this is almost standard practice in larger or high performance helis. Ground loops occur in AC applications whereas the flight electronics is operating principally with DC voltages. If you want to be picky just ensure the aux power has just the red/black leads, disconnect the yellow/orange data wire. It's more important from an interference point of view that radio/FBL/ servo leads kept as far away from the ESC and motor leads as possible.

I agree, I don't believe this will be an issue. As stated above, if you are really concerned, clip the signal wire on your aux power connection.

My system runs power into a regulator that actually backfeeds from the gyro to power the receiver. I have a Y-connection on one servo with just power and ground going to the receiver as a redundant connection.
